How We Help

Reintegration is not a single moment — it’s a process. It starts long before release day and continues for months afterward. It involves paperwork and phone calls, yes. But it also involves fear, hope, awkward family dinners, sleepless nights, and questions nobody prepares you for. We’re here for all of it. And everything we offer is completely free.

Walking Alongside You

This is the heart of what we do. We are parents who have spent ten years navigating the criminal justice system, the emotional weight of incarceration, and the complex process of preparing for a loved one’s return. We know what it feels like to not know what to do next. We know the questions you’re afraid to ask. We know the loneliness of feeling like nobody around you understands what your family is going through. We’re not therapists or lawyers. We’re not a government program. We’re people who have been exactly where you are — and we’re reaching back to help. Whether you need someone to talk to, guidance on what steps to take next, help setting realistic expectations, or simply the reassurance that what you’re feeling is normal — we’re here. Reach out by email, phone, or video call. However works best for you.

Connecting You to Resources

One of the hardest parts of reintegration is simply not knowing what’s out there. When our family began preparing for our son’s return, we were surprised to find how few organized resources existed for families like ours — and how scattered the ones that did exist were. We’re changing that. We are actively building a library of vetted organizations and services to help with the practical side of reintegration — things like:

  • Halfway houses and transitional housing
  • Job placement and employment programs
  • Therapists and counselors experienced with reentry
  • Financial assistance and benefits navigation
  • Substance abuse support and recovery programs
  • Legal aid and expungement resources
  • Family counseling services

This resource library is growing. If you reach out to us and we don’t yet have what you need, we’ll do our best to help you find it. No family should have to search alone.

You Don’t Have to Figure This Out Alone

Whether your loved one is still incarcerated, preparing for release, or already home and struggling to find their footing — we want to hear from you. There’s no wrong time to reach out and no question too small. We’ve been in your shoes. We know how overwhelming this can feel. And we believe that with the right support, the right resources, and people who genuinely care walking alongside you — reintegration is possible. Let’s take the next step together.
