Why We Started This Foundation
We’re Mike and Jennifer – parents who spent ten years walking the road of incarceration with our son. In those years we experienced the grief, the confusion, and the overwhelming task of preparing for reintegration with almost no resources to guide us.
We built The Rise and Ascend Foundation because no family should have to figure this out alone. Everything we offer – the guidance, the resources, the personal support – is completely free to the families we serve.
But free to them doesn’t mean without cost. Your generosity is what makes it possible for us to show up for families in their most difficult moments.
