Who We Are
The Rise and Ascend Foundation bridges the critical gap between incarceration and reintegration, supporting both inmates preparing for release and their families navigating this challenging transition. We believe that successful reentry begins before the prison gates open, and that strong family connections are essential to breaking the cycle of recidivism. We started this foundation not from a textbook or a grant proposal — but from our own family’s journey. Our son spent ten years incarcerated. We know the grief of the early years, the slow process of finding your footing, and the overwhelming task of preparing for the day your loved one comes home. When we searched for resources to help us, we found almost nothing.
So we built what we wished had existed.

How We Help
We offer two things that are surprisingly hard to find when you’re walking the road of reintegration.

We connect families with the organizations and services that can help — halfway houses, job placement programs, therapists experienced with reentry, financial assistance, and more. We do the legwork so you don’t have to start from scratch.
We Walk Alongside You
We bring something harder to find than information — the presence of people who have actually been through it. We offer encouragement, hard-won wisdom, and a steady voice that says: you can do this, and you don’t have to do it alone.
